For some really weird reason, despite getting poor grades in every related subject all the way through school I now find this kind of shit wildly interesting. I guess the moral is something like ‘fuck school’.
Anyway, Gizmodo is reporting that a private architectural firm in NY has synthesized Buckypaper in their own lab. Scientists have been doing this shit for years, but this is the first private firm, which puts it one step closer to us seeing it somewhere out in the world. And it killing us.
One of the applications they mention is the use of its conductive properties to develop synthetic muscle. You know what synthetic muscle goes on!? Fucking androids!! If you still don’t get why this is relevant to movies or mayhem hit the jump.
