To put a cap on my minimal (at best) coverage of the late night television situation…
Back when those WWJD bracelets were all the rage, (Which, fuck, is a whole different story as a fad, by the way. Let me tell you, there’s nothing like the irony of getting physically abused on the schoolyard by some asshole wearing a “What Would Jesus Do?” bracelet.) Ahem, anyway, Conan did a sketch called “What Would Conan Do” that involved him doing things like offering to help an old lady across the street and then pushing her in front of a bus. Alas, no luck finding a clip to embed, if someone else that’s better at the internet than I am can find it, post it in the comments, I’ll embed it.
That sketch comes to mind because last Friday Conan truly answered the question WWCD with his parting words, which officially represented the only time I’ve teared up during a late night talk show broadcast. Of course I was also drunk…and chopping onions. Video after the jump.
